Laura Ling, the sister of former “View” co-host Lisa Ling, was sentenced to 12 years in a North Korean Labor Camp along with her partner in crime Euna Lee. Many people including Ling’s friends and family fear that Laura and Euna are victims of North Korea trying to teach the United States of America a lesson – although that lesson is not known.
This highlights the fact that North Korea is run by a tyrannical leader in Kim Jong Il who is walking a very thin line with the USA. Why he is being so harsh on these innocent girls who crossed into North Korean borders by accident seems more an attack at the United States than giving the girls a crime that fits the punishment.
Lisa Ling apologized to North Korea stating that if her sister and Euna did in fact cross into Northern Korea it was accidental. In addition, there has been tremendous outrage over the situation at hand and many people are urging Al Gore or any other “ballsy” congressmen to act quickly on this situation publicly.
Both Ling and Lee are “OK” according to friends and family, however, are very “scared” and “nervous” about what is to come from the North Korean Labor Camps.
